Alex applied to 180 companies and failed the Facebook final round. While working at Moloco he was contacted again, prepared for only a week with no attachment, and the interviews went well enough to pass. Alex recalls that hiring was hot and finalists were re-contacted. He put his odds of staying at Moloco at 99%, so failing was fine; two or three video interviews, not even onsite, all went well. The lesson: interviews go better when you are not attached to the outcome.
