On a Harvard professor's happiness test Alex felt he was close to a 10, yet he asks whether being happy alone counts as happiness. More important than AI is becoming someone who can raise another person's happiness score. The test sets the happiest person you know at 10 and your unhappiest moment at 0, then scores you now. Alex wrote that before marriage he could barely pass 5, and that being able to say 10 today makes him grateful and even a little sorry. Admitting that sharing joy is not easy, he wrote that, AI aside, he simply wants to be someone who raises others' happiness.
