The builder who lasts isn't the one who builds well. It's the one with an edge. The cost of building keeps falling. Work that needed a team of engineers now ships from one person in an afternoon. What has not gotten cheaper: finding out what people actually want, reading the person across from you, and convincing anyone of an idea. So the question changes. Not "how much better is my code than yours" but "what makes me the slightly unusual one." One durable edge is understanding people. **Building gets easy. Convincing stays exactly as hard.**
