I make $1M+ at Meta. I'll say the obvious thing — it isn't because I'm a genius. It's the product of three bets. **One**, the company. Meta's revenue almost doubled in six years; market cap tripled. The company's compounding curve becomes your compensation curve. **Two**, the manager. I originally wanted to avoid the ads team for work-life-balance reasons, but I joined for one specific manager's charisma — and that manager is now a Director. A manager isn't a peer, they're a bet. **Three**, staying. Many more colleagues left than stayed in those seven years, and I burned out repeatedly, but I stayed. By the time I looked up, I was the senior person in the room. None of the three is genius. All three are judgment and grit. Also in Korean고연봉은 천재성이 아니라
