A second brain is the permanent memory that lets agents understand my goals and context and run on their own when I am not there. Alex builds second brains at Meta as well. Humans cannot be on call 24 hours a day but agents can, so the biggest power of a second brain is permanent, persistent storage that survives my absence. If Alex goes on vacation, a teammate can still ask the brain that holds his context and get an answer.
