Whatever wind hits Silicon Valley first always reaches the rest of the world. Silicon Valley feels every shift first. The wind picked up again — clearly a beginning, not an end. **It's not org charts or job titles or trends that are changing. It's the very method by which a person proves value through work.** The tens of thousands laid off here are a signal that elsewhere, the wave will be bigger. Korea may get it in months or years. It arrives either way — sometimes as a snowball that grew on the way. AI-fluent people see opportunity. The rest see fear. May this hard wind eventually become a tailwind for everyone.
