What the verdicts say
Three adopted and six passed, side by side, make the taste clear: not sporty, not preppy, but a quiet grown-up classic casual.
Trousers are an honest straight leg
Wide (knit polo, sweatshirt) and slim (striped oxford) were both passed. A little ease at the thigh, a straight hem at the shoe. The only fit that gets through.
One layer plus one open outer
Mid layers on the torso like the knit vest are out. All three adopted looks are a single tee or knit with a jacket worn open, or nothing over it at all.
Strip the sporty signals
Track-jacket sleeve stripes, graphic sweatshirts and crew-neck volume all failed. The moment sportswear codes appear, the shoulders read bigger.
Neutrals plus one hue
Navy, ecru, ivory, brown and charcoal are the palette. Two hues together, like sky blue and olive, go muddy. Sky blue lives next to neutrals only.
Style comes from fabric
Suede blouson, unstructured blazer, ivory knit. Clothes that speak through texture and silhouette, not details.
Two pairs of shoes are enough
White minimalist sneakers and brown or black loafers. All three adopted looks wear one of the two.
Never a long coat
The camel coat was passed. Knee-length or above, a long outer layer covers the legs and cuts height. Outerwear stops at the hip. Winter is a short coat, a blouson, or a heavy knit under a short jacket.
Principles
Four rules from the YouTube channel 옷덕의 시선, translated for this wardrobe. Not how to buy more clothes, but how to choose the ones that fit me.
For tops, the chest measurement sets the silhouette more than shoulder or length. For trousers, the rise and thigh decide the proportions, not the waist. Write down the numbers of what fit well, then move only 1–2 cm from them.
Alex: first task is to pin down the shirt ease and trouser rise of the baseline sheet as numbers.
When dressing in one family, open up the value contrast: light trousers under a dark outer layer. When mixing colours, group ones of similar saturation and value, and stop at three.
Alex: beige trousers with a dark brown outer layer, and navy with olive, are the next experiments.
Not as precise as a professional reading, but enough to set a direction. Confirm the season and warm or cool, then ask once more for the colours that suit that tone.
Alex: sky blue and beige already worked, so the check is about widening that tone.
Blends with more than three fibres rarely look good. On a wool base, pick at least 80% natural fibre. Fabric with a quiet sheen and depth of colour gives a look dimension.
Alex: check the fibre label first on the camel coat and the cashmere knit.

Five Korean men's fashion channels' 2026 FW trend videos, read and filtered through the silhouette rules. Fits are maturing; natural washes, cozy knits, military and brown are the season's keywords.
Straight / semi-wide, ankle-covering hem
The move from wide to a tidier leg matches the rules exactly.
Harrington jacket
A short jacket lengthens the leg and never dates. Unpadded, worn open.
Coatigan (jacket-style cardigan)
Open, it gives a vertical line; with no ribbing it does not cut the waist.
M-65 field jacket
Mid length, worn open for the vertical line. The wearable military trend. Slim recut, washed olive.
Half-zip knit
The heavy turtleneck reworked. Keep the zip down so the neck reads long.
Suede trucker
Leather and suede are basics now. An aged surface tidies a solid build.
Burgundy / dark plum shirt
Dark on top, beige below. This year's shirt colour.

Pantone's colour of the year, and the baseline palette's own family.

They drop the trouser line straight. Same tone as the trousers.

Too likely to break the leg line. Assumes heeled boots.
Skinny / cropped slim

Shortens the neck. Only worn open.
Hairy or oversized knits, shearling, fur
Upper-body volume.
Crop layering
